Kithul Jaggery is made from treacle that is obtained from the Caryota urens palm type. To make jaggery, the kithul sap must be cooked until it reaches a stage when it turns into treacle. The sap is then poured into coconut shells to create the distinctive form. In some foods and drinks, jaggery is utilized as a natural sweetener and taste enhancer.
